Rangers defender posts shocking picture of broken nose on Twitter

Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso has tweeted a shocking picture of the broken nose he sustained in Sunday’s Betfred Cup semi-final.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury in a clash with Motherwell striker Ryan Bowman, who for the second time in the match appeared to elbow Cardoso in an aerial challenge.

The Portuguese stopper immediately signalled for assistance with blood pouring from his nose.

He later took to Twitter to thank the Rangers fans for their support, though he would later delete the image.

He wrote: “Thank you for all the support messages, I am fine just a broken nose.”
