Changing room chat: Coisty to do a Souness for Movember

RANGERS have a rich heritage when it comes to facial hair – think John Greig’s 70s sideburns, Donald Findlay QC’s trademark mutton chops and, of course, the classic Graeme Souness mouser.

Now, in support of “Movember”, manager Ally McCoist, coaches Kenny McDowall and Ian Durrant and dozens of Rangers fans have pledged to grow moustaches to help raise funds for and awareness of men’s health issues. The Rangers Charity Foundation’s National Charity Partner, The Prostate Cancer Charity, is the principal UK beneficiary of money raised during Movember. Last year, dozens of Rangers fans and staff raised over £4,000 by growing a variety of different styles of moustache.

McCoist said: “I am delighted to give my backing to this campaign. Kenny, Ian and I will all grow moustaches in support of Movember and I am sure many of our fans will do the same. “The Prostate Cancer Charity will benefit once again from this initiative and I know it will be a huge success.”
