Brazilian midfielder’s trial with Rangers ends after missed match

BRAZILIAN midfielder Andre Moritz has ended his training spell with Rangers after refusing to take part in a closed-door match.

Rangers asked the 26-year-old to take part in the game as manager Ally McCoist weighed up a deal.

But Moritz, who is a free agent after a five-year spell in Turkish football, said on his Twitter account that he did not want to risk injury and was now talking to English clubs.

Moritz wrote: “My time with Rangers has come to an end, i enjoyed it but it was not meant to be... Talking with english clubs...”
