1-50 for title

RANGERS are 1-50 to win the Third Division - the same price as Celtic are to win the SPL.

Bookmakers have reacted to the news that the Ibrox club have been dumped into the bottom tier of Scottish football for the new season. And they believe Ally McCoist’s side will romp the league and make them an unbackable 1-50 to seal the title - meaning you would have to invest £50 just to win £1.

McBookie.com also have a match bet about who will clinch their league first and make Rangers 4-7 to win the Third Division before 5-4 Celtic clinch the SPL.

Rangers are 5-1 to win either the Scottish Cup or the League Cup.

Spokesman Paul Petrie said: “We believe Rangers will find the Third Division just as easy as Celtc will find winning the SPL. We expect every game to be a mismatch and they should win the league in double-quick time...just like Celtic.”

Rangers will also turn back the clock when they face nine other teams in the Third Division this season. The Ibrox club will face clubs they haven’t met on league business for decades. They will face five teams who they have never played before in their history in any league and face Annan Athletic for the first time in any competition.
