The English defender’s first-half header and close-range second after the break gave Steven Gerrard’s side the victory in yesterday’s clash between the two sides at the top of the SPFL Premiership.
But scoring doubles in these matches are rare feats and only a select few have managed to do so in the Light Blue in the past 25 years – and Goldson is the first defender to manage a brace against the rivals for more than a quarter of a century.
Here, on the back of the Englishman’s match-winning double, we look back on the last 11 occasions players have scored twice for Rangers in matches against Celtic going back to the mid-1990s – and the list includes some well known names, Rangers heroes, epic matches and a few less familiar faces from years gone by.
How many do you remember?

3. Kenny Miller
2009-10

4. Kenny Miller
2008-09
Another double for Miller in a classic at Parkhead. Daniel Cousin scored and was later sent off and Pedro Mendes (pictured) hit a screamer for Rangers' fourth in a 4-2 win on August 31, 2008. Photo: SNS Group Steve Welsh
