Rangers have rejected a deadline day offer from West Brom for James Tavernier.
The 26-year-old has been the subject of a loan offer from the Championship club, according to Sky Sports, with the move becoming permanent.
However, Rangers have dismissed the offer for their captain.
While the English transfer window shut earlier in August ahead of the start of the league season, clubs outwith the Premier League are able to secure players on loan.
Rangers have so far brought in two new players on Friday with the signings of defender Joe Worrall and winger Eros Grezda.
