Rangers are weighing up a move for Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer, according to the Scottish Sun on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard is looking to add another option out wide before the close of the transfer window after seeing Jamie Murphy ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a knee injury.
He’s identified Dyer as the ideal target and wishes Rangers to negotiate a loan deal for the player, who remains on Reading’s radar after talks broke down with Swansea earlier this summer.
The 30-year-old is a former English Premier League winner from a loan spell at Leicester City. He made 13 appearances, scoring once, as Claudio Ranieri’s side shocked the world by finishing top of the pack in the 2015/16 season.
Dyer has been at Swansea since 2009, having previously played for Southampton, Burnley and Sheffield United.
