CHEF Gordon Ramsay has become the latest high profile figure to back supporters’ group Rangers First.

The organisation, which has close to 10,000 members, is backing Dave King’s bid to replace the current board in the club’s upcoming club Extraordinary General Meeting.

When asked on Twitter if he backed the fan campaign, the celebrity chef, who underwent trials at Rangers, replied: “Ok, done.”

Other supporters of Rangers First include Richard Gough, Alex Rae, Nacho Novo, Jorg Albertz and Claudio Reyna.

Rangers First formed in February last year and currently owns a 1.7% shareholding in the club with the aim of owning ten percent of the club and gaining a seat on the board.

Rangers First spokesman Ricki Neill said: “Rangers First continues to go from strength to strength and we are delighted to welcome Gordon Ramsay to our group.

“Our organisation has captured the imagination of supporters and ex-players from around the world in recent weeks and I thank Gordon for signing up.”
