Hibs striker Florian Kamberi linked with clubs across Europe as Rangers switch striker focus

The Swiss-born forward spent the second half of the season on loan at Ibrox

Hibs striker Florian Kamberi is a wanted man.

The 25-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at Rangers where he impressed in Europe and domestically, netting a goal against St Johnstone.

He has been linked with a permanent move to Rangers but is interesting clubs from around Europe.

The Scotsman’s sister title the Evening News reported that Hibs had held talks with one club over a move, while according to the Scottish Sun there is interest England, Poland, Turkey, Cyprus and Germany.

Despite a contract until 2022, Kamberi all but severed ties with Hibs in an interview he gave Rangers TV.

He said: “Ever since I came to Scotland it has been a dream for me to move to Rangers and it has happened today, so I am a very, very happy man.

“For me, Ibrox is the best atmosphere I have ever played in. My second game for Hibs was against Rangers at Ibrox and after the game, I told my agent immediately my dream would be to play in this stadium in front of these fans as they are the best fans in the world – the support is massive.”

However, he may not get a permanent move to Ibrox as the club are set to look elsewhere.

One such target is reportedly Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes. The Australian was a revelation in the season past, hitting 12 goals.
