Rangers fans are in a positive mood tonight after seeing Steven gerrard’s side see off St Johnstone 3-0 with goals from Kemar Roofe, Glen Kamara and Ianis Hagi.

Just a week ago the light blues’ followers were despairing about a first defeat of the season at St Mirren and elimination from the Betfred Cup quarter final.

However since then there’s been a win against Motherwell on Saturday and a win on the road in Perth this evening to change to mood among the supporters.

Jim Robertson: “Never out of first gear polished performance. Aribo, class act.”

John Gilchrist: “The haters are waiting on us slipping up, we are just doing what we do, 53 points out of 57 at half way, onwards to 55."

@kdy1303: “Half way there, mirror image of the first half of the season will do nicely.”

Chris Neill: “Glad the Saints wanted to make a game of it poor Hagi will have some bruises tomorrow. Three points and another cleansheet. No complaints from this bluenose.”

There was debate over whom was the stand-out players for the visitors at McDiarmid Park though.

Steve Lee: “Glen Kamara, the guy just glides across the pitch. Sheer class.”

John Aitken: “ Aribo, Kamara and Roofe looking excellent. Buzzing for Hagi to have had a good game and goal too. All looking good at the moment.”

However Alfredo Morelos’ second half miss had some of the fans frustrated and hoping he breaks his barren spell soon.

@DougieRepublic: “Back to the clean sheets! Hagi, Kamara, Aribo all brilliant! Alfredo really needs a goal though and doesn't get a much easier chance than the one he had.”

@petera1872: “Barely out of second gear for much of that but exactly what was required tonight. Only negative was Morelos not getting that goal. Aribo much much better tonight. Onto Saturday now. Got to keep going.”

Defeat against St Mirren in the Betfred Cup is not forgotten, but after two wins the fans are pleased the team appears back on track.

@garryhood1872: “Wish we played the same eleven last week!”
