'Couple of quid on Hagi', 'Bench isn't as strong as normal', 'Would you prefer Flanagan, Pena, Herrera?' Fans react to Steven Gerrard's Rangers line-up at Aberdeen

Rangers supporters were keen for Ryan Kent to regain his early season form which included a winner at Pittodrie, venue of today’s match.

The visitors’ fans were also pleased to see Ianis Hagi return to the starting line-up, replacing Kemar Roofe.

But Steven Gerrard’s midfield options were noticeably limited and that affected his bench selection of substitutes.

But @melly_mel countered: “Would you prefer Kiernan, Flanagan, Pena and Herrera?”

There were also some tips for the manager.

Decky Mair: “Kent needs to step up today been poor lately. Big game lads time to step up and play.”

Alan Canning: “Disappointed Itten isn’t getting a start.”

Jim Coyle: “Tell Ryan Kent to start running at goal instead of running across the park.”

Laird Bryan Young: “If Morelos is struggling again I hope he doesn’t leave it too late to put Itten or Defoe on if we are needing a goal!”

Connor Matthews: “Love to see Patterson get last 20 mins for Tavernier when 2-0 up. Kent to score first.”

And there was the usual comments on Bongani Zungu’s fortunes too.

@charles_tshwane: “Zungu should have gone to Celta Vigo or Strasbourg. Mid table teams but regular game time. At 28 this is not good.”
