'Bench is obscene', 'Doesn't look physical enough', 'Is Kent undroppable?': Fans react to Rangers team against St Johnstone

Ianis Hagi was back in Rangers’ starting line-up for the match at St Johnstone – but the return of Alfredo Morelos from suspension to take a place on the bench split the support.

All the Rangers fans were united though, that Steven Gerrard’s side had to take another three points to maintain the 16-point gap at the top of the SPFL Premiership going into Christmas.

@andyboyrangers: “Would liked to have seen Arfield in there but that's why Stevie gets the big bucks.”

@SbudRanger: “Defoe, Itten and Morelos all on the bench is obscene.”

@woofly32: “Is Kent becoming an undroppable?”

Dennis Clark: “Needing a performance from Hagi and Aribo, I understand tweaking things a bit with four games in ten days, thought Aribo and Itten would start.”

Darren Craig: “Hagi needs to show his worth in the starting 11 tonight!”

Scott Mcdonald: “Reckon we are expecting two banks of five again with that lineup, Hagi and Aribo tasked with picking them apart.”

Craig Henderson: “Think Hagi is wasted on the wings, not fast enough but he'd do great in the engine room for building offence.”

Iain Miller: “Doesn’t look physical enough for me - Morelos should have been in. Agree Arfield needs a rest.”

@King1Scott: “So that I’m not accused of after timing, for me both Arfield and Morelos should be starting tonight to stretch them.”

Barry Brown: “Maybe changed it too much for my liking. I know games are coming thick and fast now, slight concern about starting 11 but great bench backup a plus.”
