Morelos has represented Colombia at Under-20 level where he was chosen by Reyes.

He joins a squad which includes strikers Falcao and Carlos Bacca as well as Juan Fernando Quintero, Davinson Sanchez Juan Cuadrado.

Colombia will be looking to build on their round of 16 exit from the World Cup ahead of next year’s Copa America which takes place in Brazil.

Pekerman has recognised Morelos’ form at Ibrox, which has seen him hit six goals in 11 appearances so far as he’s helped Rangers towards an unbeaten start to the season. In addition to his goals, his all-round game has impressed with Steven Gerrard keen to tie the striker down to a new contract.
