Rangers fan initiative to move Celtic supporters reaches funding goal

Currently Rangers’ bitter rivals are allocated the entire Broomloan Stand behind the goal.

A crowdfunder was started by a Rangers supporter looking to lobby the board to move Celtic fans into the same corner of the ground as currently given to the other ten top flight clubs.

The funding goal, which looked to fund a survey and thousands of leaflets to be handed out at home games, was reached within a couple of days.

Stewart Robertson, though, says it’s unlikely to happen. The managing director sited issues with policing and segregation at Old Firm matches.

Pushed further by a supporter who believed the “vast majority of fans want to see it cut”, Robertson pointed out that Celtic would then do likewise to Rangers’ allocation at Parkhead.
