Rangers legend Andy Goram makes return to football

The 43-time capped international will join the club as a goalkeeping mentor to highly touted goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson.
The 18-year-old has been linked with moves to Hearts and Dundee United in Scotland, along with Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle United south of the border, though he recently signed a new two-year deal to remain at the Excelsior Stadium.

Hide AdGoram will be there to offer advise and work alongside the club’s goalkeeping coaches to aid the player as he becomes the Diamonds’ No.1 next season.
In a statement on the club website, Goram said: “I have done my research on Rohan. I know how good a shotstopper he is and of his ability to play with the ball at his feet.
“He got a taste of the big time last season when he was Man of the Match in the Scottish Cup tie against Dundee United and he is desperate for more of that.
“My job here is to help him realise his potential and I am thrilled that I will be back on a training pitch where I feel I belong.
“The move to Ravenscraig and full-time football shows the ambition there is at Airdrieonians now.”
Ferguson added: “It will be a privilege to be in the same room as Andy Goram never mind to have him as my coach.
“I can’t wait to get started and learn everything I can from him, he had everything as a keeper.”
