Rangers fined by Uefa over objects thrown against Progres Niederkorn

Rangers have been fined €7,000 by Uefa for objects thrown on to the park during the first leg of their Europa League qualifier against Progres Niederkorn.

Uefa charged Rangers after the 1-0 win at Ibrox, which would ultimately be the club’s final home game in European competition this season after the underdogs won the second leg 2-0 in Luxembourg.

The case against Rangers was heard on 7 July with Uefa’s disciplinary body deciding they had breached regulations.
