Rampant Ayr give masterclass at Gayfield Park

Derek Holmes struck to give Arbroath the advantage but Michael Moffat hit back with four goals.

Arbroath 1, Ayr United 4

He equalised from the penalty spot before giving Ayr the lead two minutes later. Moffat completed his hat-trick with another penalty and got his fourth after 75 minutes.

Forfar Athletic 3, Stranraer 1

Gavin Malin put Forfar ahead after 18 minutes and Kader doubled Forfar’s advantage before Chris Templeman added a third before half-time.

Craig Malcolm reduced the deficit midway through the second half before Forfar’s Michael Bolochoweckyj was red-carded.

East Fife 2, Queen of the South 3

Gavin Reilly gave Queen of the South a 15th-minute lead.

Paul McManus equalised midway through the second half but Nicky Clark nabbed his 29th goal of the season and Mark Durnan added a third for the runaway leaders. Liam Gormley scored a late consolation.

Albion Rovers 1, Alloa Athletic 5

Martin Grehan gave Alloa an early lead and Calum Elliot added another two goals for the visitors before the break.

Marvin Andrews pulled a goal back for the home side but Graeme Holmes added a fourth for Alloa before Kevin Cawley made it 5-1.

Stenhousemuir 3, Brechin City 3

Alan Trouten put Brechin ahead but Mark Corcoran equalised.

A Graham Hay own goal put Stenny ahead then John Gemmell, later sent off, netted a third. Ewan Moyes pulled a goal back and David McKenna equalised before Gary Fusco was also sent off.
