Falkirk 2 - 3 Raith Rovers: Raith clinch vital win as Willie Gibson exits Bairns for good

WILLIE Gibson will not play for Falkirk again after he left at half-time after being substituted, writes Iain Collin.

Pressley said: “I was disappointed with Willie Gibson’s commitment to the team and his desire. He then proceeded to leave the stadium at half-time. There’s a code of conduct here and that has been broken. He will be disciplined and he will not play for this club again.”

A hat-trick from Brian Graham earned a vital win for Raith who saw Laurie Ellis treated for eight minutes following an aerial challenge with Farid El Alagui before leaving on a stretcher wearing a neck brace with a suspected broken jaw. By that point Raith were back in the match with a controversial equaliser after El Alagui had bundled in a tenth-minute opener.

Graham swept in from the spot after Kieran Duffie fouled the striker and, in first-half injury-time, he bounced in a second. Falkirk sub Blair Alston volleyed in a 69th-minute equaliser before Graham lashed in the winner.
