The 22-year-old was taken ill in the first half and was carried off on a stretcher before being kept in a nearby hospital for two nights.

A club statement on Monday evening read: “Following an incident during last Saturday’s match against Ross County at Rugby Park when our player Rabiu Ibrahim collapsed on the field of play and was later admitted to Crosshouse Hospital to undergo tests, we are pleased to report that Rabiu has now been discharged from hospital and will undertake a period of rest prior to resuming training.

“Rabiu and the club wish to thank everyone for their expressions of concern.”
