Python song is no laughing matter

THREE Scottish players suffered relegation heartbreak at Bristol City… just as their club played ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life’ on their tannoy.

Ricky Foster, Mark Wilson and Stephen Pearson couldn’t stop the Ashton Gate side being relegated to League One. But when manager Sean O’Driscoll tried to console his players on the pitch with a speech, his words were drowned out by the Monty Python song.

O’Driscoll stormed: “That just about sums up some of the things that are happening at this football club. Given what had just happened, I really don’t think it was appropriate to play that tune. It was crass and totally unnecessary.”
