McGree, 19, has yet to break into the Belgian league leaders’ first team this season.

However Celtic scouts are still monitoring the Aussie Under-23 international’s progress, while Gers have now joined the race for his signature.

And sources in Belgium believe Brugge will let McGree leave in January or next summer if the price is right - despite tying him to a contract until 2021.

Dubbed the brightest prospect in Australian football, the teenager made 21 appearances and scored two goals for A-League outfit Adelaide last season.

He was called into the Socceroos squad in March, but still awaits his first senior cap.
