Premier League injuries: the latest on Raheem Sterling, Tammy Abraham and more ahead of fantasy football Gameweek 26

The return of the Champions League and the Europa League could see an upturn in injuries to the English Premier League's top sides.

Liverpool's squad escaped largely unscathed last night, though captain Jordan Henderson did limp off late.

Tottenham, who are already without their forwards Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min, will be stretched to their limits when they take on RB Leipzig.

Here's the latest on five key Premier League players.

Son Heung-Min, Tottenham Hotspur

Vital in Tottenham's 3-2 victory over Aston Villa, the North Londoners now look set to be without Son Heung-Min for the remainder of the season.

The club revealed that Son had played the majority of the game with a fractured arm and that surgery would be required.

The full statement read: "Heung-Min Son is to undergo surgery this week after sustaining a fracture to his right arm.

"The South Korea international suffered the injury during our win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

"Following surgery, our medical staff shall be reviewing management options for Son’s rehabilitation with the player expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks."

Should I keep him in my FPL side?

Not a chance. The forward's FPL point scoring may be finished for the season.

Martin Kelly, Crystal Palace

Due to his cut price Martin Kelly has emerged as one of the highest owned players in the FPL this season, but the full back was absent from Crystal Palace's squad to face Everton.

Speaking ahead of the Gameweek 26 fixture, Roy Hodgson said: "We’ve lost Martin Kelly, in the training players sometimes do after a game he managed to pick up a slight calf strain. It’s enough to keep him out of this game."

Should I keep him in my FPL side?

Yes. His injury sounds minor and the chances are Martin Kelly was spending most Gameweeks on your bench already.

Tammy Abraham, Chelsea

After an outstanding first half of the season Tammy Abraham has had his form stifled by a string of injuries.

The England striker missed out against Man United, but Frank Lampard suggested that he was in contention to feature.

Speaking ahead of his side's 2-0 defeat Lampard said: "We had to take him out of training a couple of times this week but he trained today. I'm hoping he'll be fit."

Should I keep him in my FPL side?

If you have him in your squad bench him for Chelsea's tough fixture with Tottenham, otherwise wait until Gameweek 28 to recruit the forward.

Raheem Sterling, Man City

Raheem Sterling has returned to training after a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The winger will likely miss out on Man City's rescheduled Gameweek 26 fixture with West Ham United, and will be hard-pushed to feature against Leicester City as he has only undertaken light training thus far.

Man City are reportedly keen for the forward to return against Real Madrid next week. While he might not win the race to feature in the Champion's League, he stands a good chance of being fit for the League Cup final.

Should I keep him in my FPL side?

No. Sterling will likely miss Gameweek 27 and his club's participation in the League Cup final means that no Man City player will feature in Gameweek 28.

Tyrone Mings, Aston Villa

Aston Villa sorely missed Tyrone Mings - his deputy Robin Engels gave away a penalty and made a costly mistake for Tottenham's third goal on Sunday.

The centre back has been suffering with Tonsillitis, but luckily for Villa supporters he should be in line for a return in Gameweek 27.

When asked if Mings would feature against Southampton manager Dean Smith said: "Yes, he should be. He came in yesterday morning and weren't feeling well. I thought he'd be OK to play, though, so I didn't name the team until I found out how he was today."

Should I keep him in my FPL side?

No. Aston Villa's participation in the League Cup final and have no league fixtures in Gameweek 28.
