Pat honours Hibs founder

PAT STANTON, a descendant of Hibs' first captain Michael Whelahan, admires the newly-restored gravestone of Canon Edward Hannan who founded the club in 1875.

The gravestone has been restored at a cost of almost 3000 by the Hibernian Historical Trust and a rededication service will be held tomorrow at Grange Cemetery which will be attended by, among others, Canon Hannan's great-nephew Tom Burke from County Limerick.
