New-look Craigroyston face U-20s

Ross McNeil, who took over the managerial reins of East Seniors First Division side Craigroyston at the end of last season, faces Hibs Under-20s in his first game in charge at St Mark’s Park
tonight, kick-off 7.00pm.

Hibs youngsters will also be playing their first game after their friendly against Alloa
Athletic was cancelled at the weekend because of the inclement weather.

McNeil has stepped up from coaching the Craigroyston Under-19s and has changed almost the entire squad at
St Mark’s by signing ten players from Premier Division outfit Civil Service Strollers and retaining only five of the previous Craigroyston players.

“This will be a nice challenge for me after spending the last 12 years in youth and Under-19 football,” said McNeil.

Paul Greenhill has joined Craigroyston from Vale of Leithen along with Craig
Dickson, Russell Hogarth,
Paul Lynch and Gerri Burgess, all of whom were previously with the Strollers.

James McDonaugh, Head of Academy Coaching with Hibs, said: “We have always
maintained a good relationship with East of Scotland League teams and every time we play
Craigroyston we are well looked after. The pitch at St Mark’s is of the highest standard.”

McDonaugh has included Jordan Forster, David Gold and Dean Horribine in his squad.
