New deal for St Johnstone’s Graham Cummins

St Johnstone have rewarded striker Graham Cummins for his impressive start to life in Perth with a two-year contract extension.

The former Preston and Exeter forward only moved to McDiarmid Park in the summer after agreeing a 12-month deal.

But six goals in 12 Ladbrokes Premiership starts has convinced manager Tommy Wright to hand the Irishman a longer agreement.

A statement on Saints’ official website said: “The club are delighted to announce that striker Graham Cummins has signed a two-year contract extension.

“The striker has scored six goals since joining the club in the summer and is now tied to the club to May 2018.”
