The Daily Mail has reported that the Northern Irishman is in advance talks with the Middle Eastern club.

Lennon, who has been out of work since leaving Celtic in the summer, was expected to be snapped up by an English club but it is now looking likely that he will take up a lucrative deal with the Jeddah-based Saudi club.

The club’s president Ibrahim Al-Balawion has indicated that the club had not yet made a decision, he said: “We are in talks with candidates. With regards to the speculation with Neil Lennon, we won’t be making a comment until any deal is formally concluded.”

However, reports from Saudi Arabia claim Lennon is in pole position for the role ahead of other candidates including former River Plate manager Ramon Diaz and current Romania boss Victor Pitcura.
