Moussa Dembele left Celtic training after 15 minutes as Lyon block move

Moussa Dembele appeared at Celtic training this morning.

However, after a chat with manager Brendan Rodgers, he left after 15 minutes. The Celtic boss said that it was “best for him to be inside” and that it is “highly unlikely” he’ll face Rangers on Sunday.

The French striker is reportedly unhappy with Rodgers and Celtic for blocking his proposed move to Lyon with no replacement in place. Reports in France say the Celtic boss had urged the player to leave and join Brighton in the January transfer window.

The player took to Twitter to post cryptic message about his thoughts on the situation, while he liked a number of tweets which were aimed at either Brendan Rodgers or the Celtic hierarchy.

French newspaper L’Equipe, meanwhile, have reported that Lyon have blocked the move of attacker Maxwel Cornet to Wolfsburg as the club struggle to convince Celtic to sell Dembele. The same paper suggest Lyon have made a move for Brest’s 18-year-old forward Lenny Pintor,
