Linlithgow Rose 2-0 Broxburn Athletic: Rose see off Broxburn

Linlithgow had a super start to the game with a simple goal after only ten minutes. Billy Gibson took a throw in down the right, collected the return and sent over a perfect cross for the smallest man on the pitch, Colin Strickland, to rise and glance a header into the net.

Into the second half and Broxburn sensed they had a chance to take something from the game, but all their hopes went out the window with a suspiciously looking offside decision for Linlithgow’s second goal. Jamie McKenzie played a ball through the middle to Stuart McArthur who back heeled it to Roddy McLennan who looked at least three yards offside. Linlithgow then had to rely on keeper David Hay to keep Broxburn at bay with a string of good saves as the visitors fought to get at least a share of the points.
