LINLITHGOW ROSE got the better of their former manager Dave Baikie as the Super League champions saw off Ballingry 3-1 in the East of Scotland Cup 3rd round at Ore Park.
The game burst into life in the second half when substitute Calum Smith scored a quick double for Rose before Stuart McArthur added a third. Bobby Linn scored a consolation late on for Ballingry from the penalty spot.
In the same competition – but at the quarter-final stage – Bonnyrigg Rose progressed into the last four after they defeated Dalkeith Thistle 4-3 on penalties following a fiercely-contested 0-0 draw at Kings Park.
Livingston kept up their challenge for promotion from the South Division with a 2-0 win at Falkirk. Elsewhere in the league, Whitburn drubbed West Calder 4-0 at Central Park, Pumpherston overcame Edinburgh United 3-1 at Paties Road and Blackburn won 2-1 at Stoneyburn.
