HIBS Ladies take on champions Glasgow City in a top-of-the-table clash tomorrow, although Hibees manager Willie Kirk believes this season may be too soon for his girls to mount a serious title challenge.

Both clubs go into tomorrow’s clash at Albyn Park, Broxburn (kick-off 2.00pm) on maximum points – albeit City are three points ahead of Hibs having played one game more – yet Kirk is still casting an envious eye on his opponents. He said: “Glasgow City have dominated the Scottish game for years and have set the benchmark for others to try and surpass.

“They are everything that we are striving to be. The game is going to be really difficult and has maybe come too early for our youngsters.”

Elsewhere, Spartans travel to face Aberdeen at Sunnybank Juniors (2.00pm) while Hutchison Vale face a tricky journey west as they take on Rangers at Petershill Park, Glasgow (2.00pm).
