King and Turner on the mark for Star
Newtongrange capitalised on the chances against their future Premier League opponents.
Chris King put Star ahead with a cute chip on nine minutes despite Thistle’s bright start. Five minutes later, King netted the second rifling in a powerful drive from the edge of the box. Stephen Pudledski put Dalkeith back in contention on 23 minutes firing home at the back post. Star winger Joe Dunbar provided the cross for Lewis Turner to score the third on 32 minutes after a goalmouth scramble.
