Kilmarnock sign Cillian Sheridan as Easton earns Dundee deal

Kilmarnock have completed the signing of Cillian Sheridan on a two-year deal.

The former Celtic and St Johnstone striker left Bulgarian outfit CSKA Sofia by mutual consent last month.

The Irishman sealed his return to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League after a loan spell with Saints in the 2011-12 season.

Sheridan, a Republic of Ireland international, scored four league goals in 25 starts for
St Johnstone last season.

Kilmarnock confirmed on their Twitter page: “We are pleased to announce the signing of 23-year-old Irish striker
Cillian Sheridan, who has
signed for the club on a two-year deal.”

Meanwhile, Dundee manager Barry Smith has signed former Hamilton and Burnley left-back Brian Easton. The 24-year-old was a free agent after his three-year contract with the Clarets expired in the summer.

Dundee chief executive Scott Gardiner told the club’s official website: “I’m very happy we have secured the services of a quality player like Brian, who is the seventh player we have signed in the last few weeks since being notified of our inclusion into the SPL. Along with Barry and the board, we are confident that, once the injury list clears up and the boys have the time to gel as a team, we will be able to push on and make our mark in the
SPL this season.

“I also wouldn’t rule out
further additions but these
will be within our budget as a fan-owned club.”

Easton said: “I’m happy to be a Dundee player, I played pretty regularly in the Championship last season and I’ve also played in the SPL for Hamilton, so hopefully I can put that experience to good use here.”

Manager Smith added: “He’s a big lad but he’s also a very
good footballer, he’s comfortable on the ball and he’ll be an asset to us.”
