Kello poised to agree contract with Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to sign former Hearts goalkeeper Marian Kello after the Slovakian international kept a clean sheet as a trialist in a friendly at Telford on Friday.

The 29-year-old, who has also been on trial at Ipswich, made 86 appearances in four years at Tynecastle but was frozen out last season after rejecting a move to Austria Vienna in January. Kello could start the season in place of Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, who will be out until October with a torn cruciate ligament. Their other keeper, former Dunfermline stopper Dorus De Vries, meanwhile, is understood to be a signing target for Liverpool.
