Jamie Langfield poised for Forfar loan

ABERDEEN goalkeeper Jamie Langfield is poised to make a loan move to Irn-Bru Division Two side Forfar, Craig Brown confirmed.

The 31-year-old suffered a brain seizure earlier this year and his first-team place has been taken by Colombian David Gonzalez, who is on loan from Manchester City.

“It’s not finalised yet, just one or two administrative details (to be resolved),” Brown added. “The arrangement will be to get as many league fixtures in the month, in the 28-day emergency loan period, as possible.”

Meanwhile, striker Rory Fallon is a doubt for Saturday’s Clydesdale Bank Premier League trip to Kilmarnock with a groin injury. The New Zealand international went off at half-time of the 3-3 draw at Dunfermline last weekend, joining fellow forward Scott Vernon on the sidelines.

Brown added: “Rory Fallon had quite a severe groin injury and we will have to confirm his full fitness before we travel to Kilmarnock on Friday. He still is struggling a little bit.”

“Scott Vernon suffered an injury in training at the end of last week and he had to pull out at the last minute from the game. He is still feeling slight pain at the moment so they are both question marks.”
