Inverness: Tremarco is 11th signing for Butcher

Inverness Caledonian Thistle will be able to field an entire team of new signings after completing the capture of English defender Carl Tremarco.

Inverness manager Terry Butcher has confirmed his 11th summer signing after tying up the 27-year-old on a one-year deal.

“Carl has been showing his paces with us and we’ve liked what we’ve seen,” Butcher told www.ictfc.com. “He’s very solid and an excellent tackler and I’m very pleased he’s accepted a contract offer. He gives us another good option in defence where we have more strength in depth than at any time since I came here.”

Left-back Tremarco joins from Macclesfield Town after spending last season on loan at Maltese side Floriana.

The Liverpudlian joined Tranmere Rovers in 2003 and made 52 appearances in a five-year spell at Prenton Park before spending a year with Wrexham. He racked up a further 27 games with the Welshmen and was then signed by Macclesfield Town in June 2009.

Tremarco recorded 89 run-outs for the Silkmen, scoring twice before going on loan to Malta last August. He joins Ben Greenhalgh, James Vincent, Danny Williams, Adam Evans, Harry Hooman, Curtis Allen, Marley Watkins, Dean Brill, Nick Draper and Joe Gorman among Butcher’s list of new recruits.
