6. Pennant was close to Celtic move
Jermaine Pennant has claimed he was close to joining Celtic when Brendan Rodgers was manager. The former Arsenal and Liverpool winger, who once had a trial at Hibs, held talks with Celtic following the expiry of his deal at Stoke City. 7. Police chief hits out at Celtic fans
Scottish Police Federation chairman David Hamilton hit out at Celtic fans for their protests at Dens Park. The visiting support launched tennis balls onto the pitch as they railed against a possible appointment of Assistant Chief Constable Bernard Higgins at the club. Hamilton said: “This is just pathetic. Bernie Higgins — like every other police officer — has a legal responsibility to enforce laws created by our Parliaments.” (Scottish Sun)

8. Villa move would be "kamikaze" for Gerrard
Former Celtic ace Charlie Nicholas has told Steven Gerrard to stay at Rangers, claiming it would be a “kamikaze move” for him to move to Aston Villa. Nicholas said: “I can't see that being a big enough job to entice the Rangers manager back south.” (Daily Express)
