The Dons rise to third after a double from on loan forward Ryan Edmondson, goal from Tommi Hoban and a screamer from Lewis Ferguson.

Accies on the other hand remain bottom having shipped at least three goals in four of their last five outings with manager Brian Rice coming in for criticism from the club's supporters.

It took just 14 minutes for Derek McInnes’ men to open the scoring with Hoban heading in a Ryan Hedges corner.

Seven minutes later and Aberdeen doubled the lead and did so in spectacular fashion. Play sweeped from left to right, through Jonny Hayes, Edmondson and a dummy from Hedges before Ferguson ran on to the ball and smashed it into the top corner from 25 yards.

Two became three in the 24th minute after more lovely football from the Dons which resulted in ayes setting up Edmondson.

The on loan Leeds United ace made it 4-0 just after the half hour mark, showing his composure to lift the ball over Ryan Fulton in the Accies goal.

Hamilton hit back immediately through David Moyo to give the visitors a glimmer of hope in the second half.

Marios Ogkmpoe passed up a good opportunity after the break before Accies made it 4-2 from the spot through Ross Callachan.

That's the way it would finish after Scott Wright and Hedges failed to meet a Marley Watkins low cross into the box.
