In a much-changed side from the one which fell 3-0 to Slovakia last month, Griffiths looks likely to lead the attack. Anya is tipped to replace Callum Paterson at right-back, while Craig Gordon is expected to take over from David Marshall as goalkeeper.

There has been numerous calls for Griffiths to start in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers but those calls have been ignored until now. Griffiths last started a competitive match for Scotland in 2013, a 2-0 defeat to Belgium as Scotland failed to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil.
