Young Hibs beat Hearts

HIBERNIAN came from behind to defeat Hearts 2-1 after extra time in the SFA Youth Cup third round in front of more than 2,000 fans at Easter Road yesterday.

The young Hearts side, who are top of the Scottish Premier U19 league, took the lead in the 61st minute through Fraser Mullen but Hibs equalised with four minutes remaining when Ross Caldwell latched on to Jordon Foster’s long ball and finished clinically.

Caldwell notched Hibernian’s winner in the first period of extra time, lashing the ball into the roof of the net.
