SPL Fanzone: Hibernian

Maybe we shouldn’t read too much in to the result at Ibrox on Saturday. Hibs actually played fairly well compared to recent performances but paid a heavy price for more comic book defending.

The only way this team is going to start winning games is by scoring a shedload of goals, as it’s guaranteed we will lose a few each game. James McPake certainly had an interesting debut, managing to get himself sent off, although he may feel his second booking was a bit harsh. What grabbed the attention of many Hibs fans was the fact that our newly-arrived loan signing was made captain. That says it all about the lack of leadership on the park that poor Pat Fenlon inherited. The fact we are playing in the cup this weekend gives us a welcome break from the league campaign. A result against Killie could be just the confidence boost we need.
