SPL Fanzone: Hibernian

IT IS never easy being a Hibs fan, but, when the good days do come around, they are so much better because of it, and Saturday’s well-deserved semi-final victory over Aberdeen was truly exhilarating.

Eyebrows were raised by some when James McPake was made team captain straight after his arrival on loan, but there will be no doubters now. He was simply superb at Hampden and is now just 90 minutes away from becoming a real club legend.

The weeks leading up to the final are going to be tense to say the least, but, if we are going to finally win that cup again, there could be no better opponents. Yes, if we lose to them it would hurt – but nowhere near as much as watching us win it would hurt them. As the song now goes: “When the Hibs go up, to lift the Scottish Cup, they’ll be there!” Bring it on.
