Strachan rejected Hibs role

Easter Road chairman Rod Petrie approached Gordon Strachan with a view to the former Celtic manager taking on a director of football role in November.

It is understand Strachan was quick to reject the approach.

It has also emerged that Celtic held talks with Strachan over a return to Parkhead in a mentoring capacity for current boss Neil Lennon with the move collapsing due to personal terms. (Sun)
