Leigh Griffiths returns to Hibs on loan

LEIGH Griffiths was today flying out to join up with Pat Fenlon’s squad after Hibs struck an agreement with Wolves which will see the Scotland Under-21 striker return to Easter Road until at least January.

The lifelong Hibs fan spent last season in the Capital on loan, scoring 11 times.

He moved back to Molineux at the end of that spell only to be told he had no future with the English Championship club.

Griffiths is expected to play some part in tonight’s friendly against Juliper League side OH Leuven in Belgium tonight, the second match of Hibs mini European tour.

Meanwhile, former Hibs goalkeeper Mark Brown is on trial with Southend United after failing to agree a new deal with the Easter Road club and will feature in today’s game against Braintree as will American midfielder Anton Peterlin who was on trial at Hearts recently.
