Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom handed touchline ban by SFA

An SFA disciplinary tribunal made the decision on Thursday afternoon after Heckingbottom was charged with breaching Disciplinary Rule 203, which states that "No member of Team Staff shall commit Misconduct at a match".

The one suspended match ban will expire at the end of the season.

The head coach was given a red card by referee Kevin Clancy shortly after the visitors equalised during the match with the reigning champions a Easter Road.

Heckingbottom was incensed after it appeared the whistler had allowed Celtic to restart with a drop ball following a stoppage in play with Hibs in possession, which led to Neil Lennon's men equalising through Ryan Christie.

In actual fact, Clancy had awarded a free-kick to the visitors on the advice of the fourth official, though Heckingbottom insists this wasn't properly communicated to his players.

The former Barnsley manager kicked a water bottle in frustration which struck the assistant referee.
