Jamie Insall ‘close to signing for Hibs’

Hibs have had the 22-year-old striker on trial, and the Worcester-born hitman revealed on Twitter that he has had his trial period extended by two days.

Insall, who scored a whopping 67 goals for Worcester Raiders, played in the Hibernian development side’s 2-2 draw with Brentford at East Mains last week, chipping in with a goal and an assist.

The pacy forward was the top scorer in the West Midlands (Regional) League Division 1 last season as he helped Bromyard Town to the title and promotion.

A former youth player with Kidderminster Harriers, Insall has turned out for the likes of Redditch United, Pershore Town and Littleton, and was most recently attached to Stourbridge FC.

Insall recently tweeted a photo of himself in Hibs gear, with the caption: “Doing really well in Scotland... been asked to say up extra few days who knows.”
