As revealed by the Evening News on Friday morning, Hearts and Hibs could be in a position to benefit from uncertainty and financial issues in England, opening up more doors for potential recruits.
Due to the finances on offer in English football, from the Premier League down to the fifth tier, there are a host of players who would normally be unattainable for Scottish clubs. However, clubs are set to cut their costs drastically down south with individuals wary of simply getting a contract.

1. Kyle Naughton (Swansea City)
An abundance of Premier League experience. Can play either right-back or left-back. Was once on loan at Gretna during their stint in the top-flight.

2. Matija Sarkic (Aston Villa)
Impressed on loan at Livingston in the first half of the season but was recalled by Aston Villa due to an injury crisis. Plenty of potential.

3. Devante Cole (Doncaster Rovers)
Was a key player for Motherwell in the first half of the season but was recalled by Wigan Athletic. Would be a useful option in attack.
