Hibs U-19s impress Pat

Hibs Under-19s produced a terrific performance, especially in the second half, in front of the club’s manager, Pat Fenlon, as they came from behind to beat Central Taxis Premier Division leaders Spartans 3-1 in a friendly at Ainslie Park.

Spartans took the lead in the 11th minute when a 20-yard strike from Omar Kader found the net after a wicked deflection. Jordan Finnie then hit the post for Spartans before Hibs equalised on the stroke of half-time as the hosts failed to clear five consecutive corners and Danny Handling eventually clipped the ball in from close range. Hibs won the game in a two minute spell on the hour mark when a David Gold corner was headed home by Handling before Ross Caldwell laid on a pass for Dean Horribine, who scored with a low shot at the back post.
