Hibs Ladies heading west with the runners-up spot still to play for

It may be the final weekend of the women’s football season but for the Edinburgh clubs there’s still much to play for.

Hibs Ladies travel west to take on Celtic at Barrowfield Training Ground (kick-off 2pm) where the winner will finish the campaign as runners-up to champions Glasgow City.

Hibs striker Susan Fairlie believes her side have no option but to go on the offensive against their rivals. She said: “We head through there knowing that we need to win and will be doing everything we can to ensure we get it.”

Elsewhere, in the Scottish Women’s Premier League, Spartans face Glasgow City at Ainslie Park and Hutchison Vale take on Rangers at Petershill Park (both kick-off at 2pm).

Hutchie boss Ian McDonald is hoping his side can finish with a flourish. “We want to keep our good run going. We’ve only lost once in the second half of the season and the team’s confidence is sky high.”

Meanwhile, in Division One, Hibernian Reserves have the opportunity to win the league title if they can defeat Forfar Farmington Reserves at Meggetland (kick-off 1.00pm).
