The former Leicester keeper has departed alongside midfielder Kevin Thomson and strikers Farid El Alagui and Chris Dagnall.

Logan was only signed by former boss Alan Stubbs as emergency cover ahead of their Scottish Cup semi-final with Dundee United but made himself a hero with a string of key saves during the Hampden clash before pulling off two more crucial stops in the penalty shoot-out which booked Hibs’ place in the final.

Although he could not help the Leith men to promotion, he was part of the team that then ended the club’s 114-year wait for Scottish Cup glory as Stubbs’ side beat Rangers 3-2 in a historic win.

Thomson rejoined the club for a third time in January following his exit from Dundee but made just five starts, while El Alagui’s time in Edinburgh following his 2014 switch from Falkirk was plagued by injuries. He made just 21 appearances in green and white but did manage seven goals.

Dagnall joined Hibs from Kerala Blasters in January but made little impression in his 15 outings.

Lennon could be about to lose another of his goalkeepers, with Mark Oxley in talks over a move to Southend - although former Raith Rovers stopper Ross Laidlaw has arrived on trial.

Hibs said in a statement: “All the players leave Hibernian with the best wishes of everyone at the club for their valued contributions and services during their spells at Easter Road.”
