Hendrie does the trick for Craigroyston

Craigroyston enhanced their promotion prospects to the Central Taxis Premier Division when the St Mark’s Park side returned from south of the Border with a 3-2 victory over Berwick Rangers
Reserves at Shielfield.

Berwick took the lead after only three minutes when Kenny O’Brien scored before Craigroyston equalised midway through the first half. Craig Dickson was brought down on the edge of the Berwick penalty box and the ball broke for Paul Lynch who placed a left-foot shot into the far corner. Later in the half a Mark Hendrie free kick was not dealt with by the Berwick defence and Dickson hit the net through a ruck of defenders.

Craigroyston increased their advantage with ten minutes left when Hendrie curled home a
25-yard effort, although they lived dangerously after Josh Morris converted a penalty.
